Had the good fortune of visiting Masai Mara a couple of years ago. A dream come true.
Besides sighting the big five, was finally able to see a Cheetah in the wild. What a magnificent species! So sad that it became extinct in India due to some egotistical morons who wanted a dead one as a trophy in their palaces 😩
Nevertheless, an amazing experience. The different varieties of animals, the never-ending landscapes and the best part, the river crossing by the Wildebeests and Zebras in search of greener pastures. Wonder what divine force guides them on the yearly journey year after year? Felt as if we were watching it on National Geographic. Also was able to witness a failed but exciting attempt to hunt by four lion cubs under the guidance of their mother.
In Nairobi, they have a centre where they take care of orphaned Giraffes till they attain maturity and then leave them in the wild. Admirable, don't you think?
