Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

One of the best jungles I have seen and not only because of tigers.

•Core area – 625.40 sq. kms.

•Situated in Chandrapur district, 180 kms from Nagpur, Maharashtra.

•Declared as a ‘National Park’ in 1955 and is the first of such parks in the State.

•Received the status of a ‘Tiger Reserve’ in 1995.

•Terrain is mostly flat with some hilly areas.

•Desiduous forest is dominated by bamboo.

•Around 45 mammals and 279 bird species are found here.

•Park is divided in 3 main ranges – Tadoba, Mohurli & Kolsa.
